We hope this page finds you well. On behalf of the entire team at Paradigm Online and Mount De Sales, we want to express our deepest gratitude for your participation and enthusiasm throughout the week. The Video Game Making Camp wouldn’t have been the same without your creative energy and dedication!
We wanted to take this opportunity to recap the amazing journey we embarked on together and share some valuable resources with you. Throughout the camp, you accomplished a great deal and expanded your knowledge in various aspects of video game development. Here’s a brief recap of what you learned and achieved during the camp:
- Introduction to Game Design: You learned the fundamental principles of game design, including creating engaging narratives, designing game mechanics, and crafting immersive worlds.
- Game Development Tools: We explored popular game development tools like Unity, Unreal Engine, and GameMaker Studio. You gained hands-on experience with these tools and learned how to bring your ideas to life.
- Art and Animation: We delved into the world of digital art and animation, covering topics such as character design, asset creation, and animation techniques to enhance the visual appeal of your games.
- Programming Basics: You acquired essential programming skills and learned how to write code to implement game mechanics, create interactive elements, and troubleshoot common issues.
- Game Testing and Feedback: We emphasized the importance of playtesting and iteration in game development. You discovered strategies for gathering feedback, analyzing it, and implementing necessary improvements.
Throughout the camp, our instructors were truly impressed by your dedication, teamwork, and passion for game making. We witnessed remarkable growth in your skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. We have no doubt that each of you has the potential to become an outstanding game developer!
Now, as promised, we would like to share the pictures and project files from the week. Please find the links below containing all the pictures taken during the camp, capturing your incredible moments of learning, collaboration, and fun. Additionally, we have compiled the project files you worked on during the week, allowing you to revisit and explore the games you created.
